...I've just installed FireFox3. And now SqueezeCenter gui on my WinXP system is INSTANT.

I knew it was going to be quicker, but it's INSTANT.
What else am I missing, gang?

Sorry this post adds nothing to the world, but I just had to tell someone :-)

Ha ha! I nearly added "apart from Linux!"

I'm holding out for a Mac. Got to budget for buying my wife a Windows laptop at the same time though!!

Yes, there is only one thing to do after installing Firefox.. Ubuntu. ;-)

I get garbled text when viewing SC web in FF3 as it loads Albums. Screenshot attached. Is that normal? Fresh install of FF3, nothing else (yet!)

Once the artwork's on display, the page looks normal.

Yes it's normal (whether it's desirable or not is another matter!). The text displayed is (I believe) the alt-text for the image which is set for browsers which don't display images. Once the image is loaded the browser replaces it. It does look a mess in the meantime though...

I should have been more specific: Linux Ubuntu! Save your money and buy a nice Intel Box and run Ubuntu. This way instead of the Mac you have a better machine and can afford to buy the wife a better laptop. Its a win-win deal!

FF3 display's the images description before loading them. Which makes the
layout look a bit messy. But yes, that's normal.

Thanks folks! It's a much happier interface than IE7, so I can live with that!
