View Full Version : Problem setting up music folders

I have gotten Slimserver and the Squeezebox working on my XP Pro system.

I have all my music on a seperate drive "E". When I define the music
folder as "E:\" then go to rescan music folder, Slimserver fails. I have to
uninstall Slimserver and reinstall to get it back.

When I define it as a directory within the drive, such as "Classical" it
works fine.

Any solution to this?

Thanks,
Tuckers

Well, it wouldn't exactly be getting down to root causes, but as a
workaround you could try just pushing everything down one level by
moving all of your files into something like "E:\music\".

If its crashing when you do a rescan, it is probably running into something the
server doesn't like. Try running the server (slim.exe on windows) with --d_info
in the command line (from a command session) and see what message comes up last
when it crashes.
