Hi,
I'm Trying to get SLimServer 5.11 installed on fresh XP Pro SP1a
build. However after installation, the service won't start up and
fails immediately. Attempting to start from the command line
'slim.exe --d_cli' returns the following error.
2004-03-11 08:05:39.6031 The URL to access the SlimServer is now: http://xxxxxx:9000/
2004-03-11 08:05:39.6714 Problem: There is already another copy of
the SlimServer running on this machine.
Use of uninitialized value in transliteration (tr///) at
/PerlApp/File/Spec/Win32.pm line 99.
Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at
/PerlApp/File/Spec/Win32.pm line 101.
However checking the process on the machine no other slim or related
process exists and service is set to manual on reboot. Have tried
this with 5.1.1, 5.1, 5.0 and the overnight build and error is the
same. All version run ok on laptops W2K SP4 build. Wondered if it has
anything to do with processor & HT ? I'm Assuming something is a
fault with Perl.
Any help pointers or clues as to how to further debug much
appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Chas
