Indeed ... this fixes it for Fishbone, but I think there is some other
underlying issue.

I tried a few skins.

EN, Default and Webpad seem to have different formatting
behavior than Fishbone and Moser.

This is because the Standard skin (for example) will skip the "by artist from
album" part if you have any format other than TITLE. Thus, it relies soleloy on
the formatting string. The skins that don't do this can be changed rather easily.

You are indeed correct. I did a bit of digging, and the browseid3 templates
arent getting given the right information to make the pages work properly in the
Fishbone and Moser skins. the fix is a matter of three lines of code, and two
changes in each skin. I'll fire out a patch when I get a chance to test it.

Here is the patch to fix this, and keep the intended features.

How does this help me/How do I use this? - as Windows user?

Andrew

(Never hear of a 'diff' file.....)

As a windows user, you wont really be able to just yet. I sent here so that
those who can blend this in with their code can verify that it works, if they
wish. It will end up in a nightly build in a day or two as long as nobody has a
problem with it.

Generally, if your system is set up with perl, and development tools then you
would use the diff file like so:
patch < browseFix.diff
