I'm a newbie, received my wired squeezebox a week ago. I'm dealing with an
id3 tag problem. Namely, slimserver does not recognize id3 tags for
approximately 1600 of my 2400 songs). Songs were ripped with Audiograbber
at 320CBR. ID3 tags for both V1 and V2 look ok, when running the songs
through various id3 tag editors that I've tried, but when my music library
is scanned, I end up with a "no genre" genre, a "no artist" artist, and a
"no album" album. I'm able to browse the songs with the browse music
folder item, but since there are no id3 tags, there are no track numbers
and when I add them to a playlist, they do not play through the
squeezebox. I've also notice that for the songs that appear to have been
scanned properly with slimserver, when I click on a song to get info for
that track, the bitrate is not 320CBR, but what appears to be a random
bitrate(not the same for all songs). I'm not sure if this is related to my
id3 tag problem or if this is another little bug. All the songs play fine
through winamp (not streaming to the squeezebox) with all id3 tags correct
as well as a 320CBR I'm running SlimServer Version: 5.1.1 on a Windows
98se machine. Thanks in advance

Bob,

Can you send me one of the files to inspect?
