I am running SS 6.5.4 (I'd rather not upgrade to SC), and have had winamp working fine for a long time. I just upgrade winamp to 5.531 and can no longer get it to connect to SS. It just displays '[resolving hostname] http:\\localhost:9000/stream.mp3'. I have also tried 127.0.0.1 rather than localhost. winamp also does not appear as a client in the SS web front end. I am playing flac files, and do have lame installed, though this issue seems more to be with basic connectivity.

Sorry - changed URL to 'http://' rather than 'http:\\' and all is good!

How are you getting SB3 and SS and WinAmp to work together?
What functions of WinAmp are you able to utilize via SB3 & SS?

Thanks :)

Winamp (and any streaming media player) can connect to your server at <ip>:9000/stream.mp3 and get a simple audio stream. All control is from the server in this case.
