Purchased a Squeezebox three weeks ago. Got it up and running with no problems on my wireless network (Linksys AP) with a static IP address and with 128-bit security. I tried to switch to a direct Ethernet connection yesterday (Netgear switch which manages all my PCs) thinking it would give me better reliability. The problem is that after setup, I try to play a song and the song plays for about 5 seconds and then just stops dead. I did troubleshoot the wire and ruled that out as it worls find if connected to a PC. I'm out of ideas and can't find any similar symptons on the slimdevices web site. So I'm back to wireless for now. Any help or ideas?
