I did the most recent firmware update (2.3) on my Slimp3. When it
boots it shows 2.3 in the bottom right of the display. However, when I
go to the information screen for the player it says the firmware is
2.2. Is this a known issue?

When did you do that update? I had forgotten to update the version
number that the player reported to the server at one point, but that
was fixed for the final 5.1.1 release.

Don't worry, even though the number is wrong, the actual improvements
are all there.
