Hi,

I`m running Squeezecenter 7.0.1 on debian and got a small problem.
When I add like 12 files which are numered, so files are 1.mp3, 2.mp3 ... 10.mp3, 11.mp3 and 12.mp3, they are put in the playlist in the wrong order.

They will be put in the playlist 1, 10, 11, 12, 2, 3 etc.

Is there a way to fix this? Even better would be if the files would first be scanned to see what their id3 tag is. If it`s not there, then filename.

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you.

Many applications that order lists work in this way. Some are smarter than others, and can adapt, but some aren't. Apparently Squeezecenter is in the latter camp.

One solution, if you can change the filenames to conform, is to adopt a two-digit numbering system -- 01, 02, 03. . . 10, 11, etc.

That would indeed be an option, but it`s a lot of work on a music collection of 450GB. Sure here is a better/simpeler way?
