Can you recommend a package that runs on Windows for this purpose?

Thanks

Matt

or use software to create a virtual CD writer that really just stores
the data on the HDD, but presents itself to the OS as a hardware CD
drive.

what are you using to burn to CD? does it allow you to save ISO (CD
image) files? if so, save to ISO then use a virtual CD program to
expose the iso data as a CD-ROM and then do an audio extraction from
that. if not, you may be able to find a writable emulator.

i don't have a specific s/w recommendation. there should be lots of
options for virtual readers out there as many gamers like to use these
to get around the "must have the CD in the drive" limitations on gameplay.
