I am having a difficult time configuring my IP allow list via the SC web interface. I get this error when trying to add the 68.177.2.254 IP to the end of my config string:

Invalid value "127.0.0.1,10.*.*.*,192.168.123.*,68.177.2.254" for allowedHosts

but I'm not sure why that is invalid. I recall having similar issues back when I added 192.168.123.* to the list and I think I ended up just editing a config file directly to get it working. Is this a bug in the web config input validation parser, or do I have the format wrong?

That's very likely a bug in SC: it only allows 255.255.255.*, but not 255.255.*.*. Try removing the 10.*.*.* and it should work. Can you confirm this? You can still shut down SC, edit the prefs file and start again. Feel free to open a bug report so I don't forget to fix this. Thanks!

Yes, if the * is only in the 4th ip field, it works. change it to 10.10.*.* or 10.*.*.* and it fails. I filed bug 8254 (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8254).

Thanks

Alternatively you can use 10.* instead.
