Is there a way to have the music that is playing thru my squeezebox to also
play on my computer at the sametime?

What OS are you running?

If you're running some Unix flavor such as Linux or MacOS X, slimp3slave
will do what you want by emulating a slimp3.

slimp3slave 0.4 shouldn't work any worse with mpg123 than 0.3 does.
