Usually you can convert a WMA file to MP3 by burning the WMA to an AUDIO
CD. (Note: Very important that it be audio, not data). Then you can
re-rip the audio CD to MP3. It's a pain, but it gets around the
encryption. I use Musicmatch a lot, and it does a fine job of this.
(Hint: Use a CD-RW so you can do this over and over again and not waste
CD-Rs.)

And I don't feel that I am breaking any licensing rules, since I am the
only one using the MP3.

As a matter of fact, I usually delete the WMA file once I verify that
the MP3 is clean.

Hope this helps

Scott

or use software to create a virtual CD writer that really just stores
the data on the HDD, but presents itself to the OS as a hardware CD drive.
