Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help, I've used Slimpy's since the early versions with no problems up till now but this is driving me mad.

A few minutes after startup Squeezecenter.exe shuts down with this entry below in the server.log. I've searched but can't find anyone with the same problem, does anyone have any clues re what I can do to fix this?

I'm running Squeezecenter on Windows 2003 SP2.

Thanks, Steve

What did you change? Updated SC? New AV scanner? Windows updates?

Is this all there is? Could you please upload the full file (or at least
entries from the last day)? Are you using a SliMP3 and/or SB1?

What version of SC are you using?

Hi Michael, answers below:

I reinstalled Windows 2003 SP2 and have applied all updates. I have 3 slimpy's, not sure of the version numbers but I think they're 1,2 and 3.
I'm using SC V 7.0.1.

Also, to rule out either a bad previous install or a problem file in my collection I reinstalled SC and set it to use a music folder with only a few tracks in.

Here's the full file below, is there anything I can do make this log more verbose, e.g. SC registry entry etc?

Are you using some 3rd party plugins? And did you wipe the installation folder before you re-installed?

No 3rd party plugins installed. Yes, I wiped the SC directory before reinstalling. I think I also wiped the reg.

Is there anything I can do to make the error log more verbose?

Try running squeezecenter.exe from the command line

squeezecenter.exe --d_startup

Though I'm not sure it's a startup issue. It rather looks like it's choking on some SB1/SliMP3 specific code. But I haven't found a reference to that function which would break it (thus my question about the 3rd party plugin). Tried re-downloading SC already?

It's looking better. I've uninstalled, deleted SC directory and checked registry keys gone then rebooted then reinstalled.

So far it's stayed up longer than it did when it was hitting the problem.

Next I'll set it to run as a service and get it to reindex my collection. If it stays up then I guess I just hadn't uninstalled completely cleanly previously.

Thanks for the help, if it breaks again I'll run with that startup option you suggested and post again.

Cheers, Steve
