Hi all
I was always playing Virus Radio (http://virussimul.stream.sunrise.ch:8000/) on a Squeezebox Duet.
Since some days this is not working anymore.
Any idea?
Brendianer

P.S.
Internet Connection is ready. The stream works with other players.

Try these:
Virus Bounce (HipHop) http://195.141.102.212:8000
Virus Shake (Dance) http://195.141.102.212:8010

Both streams play fine on my end in both SN and SC7.
If you just click on those links does your computer's media player play those streams?
Are you certain you are properly typing or cut&pasting the url properly? A simple blank space at the beginning of the url will cause connect errors.

BTW: LOVE the Virus Dance station, thanks for the referral. Now I really feel bad I'm not able to solve your issue.

Hopefully someone with better computer and SB3 skills than I will jump in here to offer more suggestions for you.

Yes, but I presume that stored favorite was the original url link you posted which does not seem to be functioning. Did you try my posted url's?

When I click on your original posted url my WinAmp won't play it. My two posted url's (same station as yours) they play fine via WinAmp and SN and SC7.

Also, SN is having issues this weekend as many are reporting issues using SN. This may or may not be connected with your problem.

Brendianer, you're talking about virus.ch, aren't you?

How about using the "official" URL:

http://dms-cl-017.skypro.tv/virus-128

Btw, you'll find many Swiss Radio stations in the file "SwissRadio.m3u" included with SSODS (/volume1/SSODS/share/doc/ssods/SwissRadio.m3u, copy or link it to your playlist folder and rescan playlists).

Your "official" link is dead. :)

The links I posted are perfectly fine ShoutCast links that work in both SN and SC7.

I found another link:
http://asx.skypro.ch/radio/internet-128/virus.asx

This works.

Great! So you are back up and running on SN and/or SC7?

Grr.. they changed these URLs again.

LOL :)

That's one of the major draw backs to Internet Radio, they change their url's way too often. Hardly a way to better establish this type of content as more main stream and keeping things consumer friendly.

Imagine if our AM/FM stations were constantly moving around the dial. Many more people would just give up on AM/FM radio and just go to an iPod. A consumer should not have to "track down" their preferred content providers every few weeks/months. Silly and frustrating.

Isn't there this "wiki radio" thing where you can subscribe channels and even upload urls from the player? I've had this in my TODO.txt for ages but never have looked at it so far.

Yes and I've never used it. It's user supported so unless the users posting the url's keep up with making the url changes you are right back where you started: dead links. :(

Maybe it's updated daily, I dunno.

Further questions to this radio streams?!

1. Is there a possibility to store somewhere the radiostation logos to display them on the Duet?

2. How can I bring the radio stations under the menu position "Internetradio"
