View Full Version : I can't get SqueezeCenter 7.0 to work on my Mac

I was using the Slim Server without any real issue. I downloaded the new
SqueezeCenter 7.0 for Mac OS X Version 10.4.11. I download and install. When I open SqueezeCenter out of the preferences pane, I try to start the server, but it
does not seem to work, nor is it giving me the option to launch the web
interface.

I have done a clean install, my firewall is turned off.

I have actually been going back and forth with customer service for well over a month, and they haven't been able to solve my issue.

I have been told, that it may be something with my Java, put they can't put their finger on it.

If anyone could please give me some help, I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks,
Chris

What version did you previously use?

I would assume that support would have suggested removing the SlimServer cache. It may be irrelevant in this case, but it was needed in one upgrade, and can't do any harm.

It was the most recent version of Slim Server that I was using, I believe it was v6.5.4.

I believe I did that already. I am not 100% proficient with this kind of stuff on Mac yet. what is the proper way to do this, and/or to make sure I did it correctly?

Thank you

On a Mac:

User/(you)/Library/Caches

Delete the SqueezeCenter folder. If it's gone, you must have done it properly!

And it can't harm to restart the Mac after doing that. Probably not necessary, but sometimes things only get noticed after a restart.
