Has anyone tried the new HRx wav files from Reference Recordings? Will Transporter play these hi-res files? This is their web site.

Thanks

No, I think the limit is 44 and 48 sample rate. I don't think you could even play these through the transporter. By play I mean play as intended, you could maybe make them play but it would drop samples and defeat the whole purpose of you buying them. I'd like to hear these on a system that could do them justice.

I just bought my first RR HRx disc, "Crown Imperial." Converted it to lossless wavpack and it sounds incredible through the Transporter. In my experience, lossless wavpack gives you almost all of the source material. Don't crank your sub up too high.

The transporter will play 24bit 96kHz and possible 88.2 (if that old issues is fixed now, I don't have any transporter so my knowledge is not perfect )

The SB3 or SBR will play 24bit 44 or 48kHz

Is there any good music at Reference Recordings ? i'm a little suspicious on Audiophile labels some can do music to (not only good sound).

Hmmm, according to their website, the HRx recordings are all 24/176.4 recordings, which is not supported on any slim device, even the TP.

So dantheman, I am wondering how you are managing to get it to play without resampling?
