Is there a way to tell if there is no album art?

Was wondering. Is there a way to tell if there is no album art? I would
rather not bother with the default image if album art is not available.

Ok, thanks for your replay, but maybe I should be more specific:

Is there a CLI command a client can use to tell the difference between
pulling the default "no art work image" and pulling real album art work
images?

(i.e. Having to pull the default image 100s of times is a real wast of
bandwidth and client resources.)
