View Full Version : Zap Functionality?

The Zap function Slimserver was not working for me. I noticed the URL
parameter the command was using is "&p1=delete" but the perl file seems to
want "&p1=zap".

My question is - Was there a reason the Zap function was diabled? Does
using it cause problems?

I went ahead and edited the HTML status_header.html and status_list.html
files and changed it to use zap. It seems to work fine but I'm worried
about stability. I'd like to use the zap function build a list of files to
be deleted later. I like being able to add to the file when the MP3 plays
and I decide I don't like it.

Thanks in advance,
Larry

The Zap function was never part of the Default skin, and should still be part of
the Fishbone skin. Delete and Zap are two distinctly different functions, both
of which are fully functional. status_list.html in both of the above skins only
uses the delete function. The [x] icon in both skins is intended to be a delete,
while the use of zap in the Fishbone skin is ahown by [zap].

stability should be fine. The zap function is also the default action if you
press and hold ADD on the remote while listening to music and viewing the 'now
playing' screen of the player. If you have simply modified the skins, without
renaming to a new directory, be aware that this could get overwritten if you
install newer versions of the server.
