Well good news is internet radio seems to not be
skipping anymore. The bad news is that I got the
shoutcast plugin working over the weekend and its
great but the slim service on my win2k box stops
itself while I'm scrolling through genres or stations
via the plugin? Obviously this makes the hardware
lose connection. Is there any way I can debug this to
get more info? Do the plugins write out log data
anywhere or error data? Does the server when it crashes?

Try starting the slim.exe application from the command line:

cd C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server
slim.exe

Then try to reproduce the problem. You should see some error message
in the command line when the server exits.

linux: ./slimserver.pl --d_plugins
windows: slim.exe --d_plugins

the log information will come up live in the command line window.
