I have heard of a few people who have had supply problems and inadequate communications. Decent product, as far as I can see, but let down by logistics. They have been around for a while, though, so I doubt they are sunning themselves in Hawaii off the back of your $100 ;)

I'd just resign myself to having to send regular chasing emails and phone every few days. Wear them down into responding!

By the way, what is wrong with the supply that came with the Duet?

The company designs an OK product, but that is where it all stops. Support sucks, no return contact, parts often missing from kits, no customer resolution.

Buyer beware and purchase at your own risk. Again, if it were me, I would cancel my order and contact my credit card company. It is also much cheaper to order a power supply off the Internet from a known reliable company. Such as:

http://www.apogeekits.com/9vdc_power_adapter_regulated.htm

http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=298

These are just a couple all under $30. There are some nice encapsulated supplies what are regulated 9VDC with 1 to 2 amp outputs that would work well with the Duet as well as be a small upgrade.

Thanks Guys.

A few reminder emails are due and then if nothing i'll leave the CC company to deal with it.

Cheers

A happy ending.

The kit was delivered to my work whilst i was away and they'd forgot to inform me (work that is). Congrats to Ron at Welborne for delivering my order to the UK in 2 weeks.

Built the unit today and it's now powering my Duet. Very pleased with the results too.

So a definite thumbs up for Welborne.

Cheers

You got lucky then, it's a lottery.

He conned me for my money over a year ago, and probably some more people.

All people would not admit when being fooled like this.

Stay away !!

I even got an email where he claims that the supply has shipped without any shipping references at all, like an AWB number or similar or freighting company go figure ;-)

After that no response to any email...
