Just wondering when the official release date for 7.0.1 is planned? 7.0.0 was released 3.3.

I'm a little shy of using beta releases of the Software, since my initial Duet installation took me 1.5 weeks with countless resets and reinstallations.

If 7.0 is working fine then there's no need to update. 7.0.1 will only contain bugfixes, no new functionality.
If you have some issues you should go with the 7.0.1 nightlies and not wait until 7.0.1 is released.
Michael Herger has put it this way: "7.0.1 is 7.0 less the bugs".

I also would expect that the next off. release would be 7.1

I'm thinking of installing 7.01 I run WinXP Pro. Can I just install over top of my existing installation, or should I remove and reninstall? Thansk!

Just install over 7.0. Well, I had no issues put it that way

I haven't seen any indication that 7.0.1 will be released.

strictly antedotal, but i find 7.0.1 latest nightlies to be a lot better bugwise and stability wise than anything else.

i generally avoided betas too, but slim is far more incremental with its betas, so i've come to trust them. i rarely have a problem just b/c it is a beta.

I've generally downloaded all the updates & am on 7.1 19261. I've had little problems with any of the updates. Ok there are sometimes issues, but they tend to get fixed within a day or two. The lastest update solves a lot of problems in scanning .....for the first time I get error free scans of all music, including artwork.

Maybe not suitable for folks who want to see everything perfect...but by the nature of updates, they do two things...address some bugs and include some enhancements. It's a toss up, do you want the bugs fixed & are willing to take some risks that the 'enhancements' might not be perfect? If no, stay with the official (buggy) release.

7.01 should be out the door in the next couple - three weeks.
