Any update as to when we'll be able to place orders for SBCs and SBRs as separate products? And SBC charging cradles?

Second that - I bought a Duet immediately, but am getting annoyed by the lack of a committed date for SBR purchases.

2 things to note for now:

There is no official tool to setup an SBR without the controller. (the NET-UDAP tool which is alpha stage does work wery well buts it's not production ready methinks ).

There is not possible to switch the SBR towards SqueezeNetwork without the Controller.

If these are sold separetely a lot off people will try to use a SBR solo without any aid of a Controller
All things regarding this is probably not figured out yet.

That doesn't help those who have a controller and want to expand the network. I am thinking about buying the whole package again and selling the extra remote and cradle on Ebay. I have bought an amp and speakers hoping the receiver would be available the beginning of May.

You are of course right it was only a speculation from me. on possible reasons.
If they start to sell them separate now they have to communicate such issues.

Controller with any player OK
Reciever without Controller, limited functionality

You cant stop people from buying one without the other.

A more popular view is that theres such a demand for duets. This is probably the case.

The eaby plan would certainly work, many SB3/transporter owner would like a Controller.
Why not Cooperate with someone that wants the other half and buy together.

I have an SBR which is surplus to requirements. In London, UK.
PM me if this would help anyone out.

Thought that it may be worthwhile to revisit this thread.

Are we likely to see receivers available soon? I've just ordered two sets of audioengine speakers and will have no duet receivers to hook them up to!

It makes me sad :( Please Slim Devices, take my money!

I'm interested in just the controller, maybe we can work together.

The product launch announcement, back in January, indicated that you could do this. I understand a short delay while they fulfill orders for complete Duets, but it's been a while now.

I worked out something with another member here (I wanted the receiver and he wanted the controller) and it worked out great, not to mention we saved some bones.

I'm in for a controller if anyone wants the SBR portion of a Duet. PM me and we can split the net cost savings.
