Are you joking or am I not understanding what you're trying to tell me?

He's not joking.
The SlimServer software is rapidly evolving.
There are new "builds" of it every day, and lots of problems
get fixed quickly. And some new problems crop up
all the time.

What Dean is suggesting is that you get the latest and greatest

"Can you try the latest nightly build from our website here:
http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest
"

I personally think that getting the current developer's build is
pretty radical for normal users. But if it works, you are done.
If/when it doesn't work, there are debugging tricks we can try
so we can isolate what is the problem.

Actually, I'm Kevin, not Dean. I sign off as kdf so as to avoid confusion with
other Kevin's, one of whom works at Slim Devices. The playlist problem is
indicative of a recent problem with a nightly build. Its not a common thing
with the existing official release. This is why I suggested a different nightly
build. If this is with 5.1, then its a different problem. However, you can try
a nightly build and see if it does fix the problem.
