The partner has a new laptop that windows media server, can i use sc with it and a media source ?

Can you clarify your question a little? You can install SC on pretty much any version of Windows, if that's what you mean (and I assume you're referring to Media Center, not Media Server...)

Yep sorry.

I have sc installed on a linux box with a sb3 and a squeezeslave on another pc. I am in the process of removing my xbox and using a laptop with M$ media center (?) on it, it say it can use a media server to listen to music, can I interface it to the sc ?

Only by running something like squeezeslave as a separate process, WMC doesn't support SC directly.

Whitebear Media Server can act an an interface between your Squeezebox Music Server music library and Windows Media Player and/or Windows Media Center
