I see that another post a few topics down on the list is asking for help with Fedora 64, so I assume slimserver at least is compatible. How good of an experience are all of you 64 bit & slimserver users having copared to the tried and true 32 bit ? I am hoping that I can just Gdebi the debian package into the 64 bit Ubuntu. Any knowledge of this?

I am using debian amd64, I just apt-get install squeezecenter and it worked.

My only issues have been because I am tracking unstable and also running squeezeslave on amd64 linux

I'm using the stable build from the Slimdevices repository on 64 bit Ubuntu with no problems at all.

Just add following to /etc/apt/sources.list using synaptic (GUI) or a text editor:

deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main

then

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install squeezecenter

I'm using Gentoo 64bit and Slimserver/Squeezecenter from trunk since version 6.3(?).
Never had any problems related to 64bit.

kind regards,
