Monster Cable Sues Blue Jeans Cable.

Monster Cable has issued a Cease-and-Desist order to Blue Jeans Cable (Tartan Cable) over analogue cable connectors.

This is another example of the great evil empire trying to roll over small companies.

I have bought many of my cables from BJC. Fantastic guys, Fantastic Service, Worldwide delivery in less than a week.
Generally, I get my stuff to Norway in 5 days!!!

I'm following up and throwing out all my Monster stuff, anybody else?

Why would you even have any overpriced Monster stuff after being a BJC customer?

I didn't know better at that time... Never bought any Monster after I discovered BJC

There are some people out there now who will have some campfires where they burn all their Monster cables and broadcast it on YouTube, sounds like a good idea to me...
Perhaps I'll join in :-))

Amen! I am a longtime fan of BJC... great products, great value, and great customer service. If you read the A'holics thread you'll find out the owner of BJC is a retired attorney, and former BIG-TIME litigator, so I'm hoping Monster has bitten off more than they can chew with their latest bullying tactics!

They're not Monster Cable anymore, they changed their name to "Bully Cable"

Throwing them out won't do a thing to harm Monster. Better to put them on ebay for dirt cheap and cost Monster a sale.

BJC's response is now online: http://www.audioholics.com/news/industry-news/blue-jeans-strikes-back

This is the best response to a patent claim I have ever read.

My favorite bit:

"Not only am I unintimidated by litigation; I sometimes miss it."

Brilliant.

With the price of copper you might as well make a couple of bucks at the scrap yard with them...

I agree, why pollute the already toxic air we all breath by burning these cables.

Post a video of you recycling the cable for CASH, then post that on youtube instead.
