Yes, you are correct, it is being sorted by file name
when I select via Genre->All Albums-specific album. My
Server Settings/Additional Settings/Behavior/Sort by
File Name is set for "Sort By Song Information", not
file name. If I select an album by way of Genre->
Artist or Browse Albums, the sort order is by song
information, which is different than when selecting
via Genre->All Album. There is an inconsistency in
this regard. Each method, which I would have thought
would behave identically, behave differently.

Just for grins, I switched the Server
Settings/Additional Settings/Behavior/Sort by File
Name to "Sort By File Name" and there is no difference
in how the server works. Selecting an album by way of
Genre->All Albums-specific album still sorts the album
by file name, and selecting an album by way of Genre->
Artist or Browse Albums still sorts it by song
information.

They should behave as you would expect. The logic for handling the special
cases of "all albums" and "all songs" is probably getting in the way. For
example, ADD on any given album should sort by track number. However, when that
special case of "all songs" is used, then it should sort by title. The special
cases are curently forcing a sort by title, even if you step further and choose
a specific album.

Being able to even select "all albums" under Genre was a response to a feature
request, and has clearly broken the former logic.

It will depend on how you've named yoru files. This also might be getting
affected by the recent GuessTags feature, which create ID3 information from
filename patterns. Either way, its a separate issue from the first.
