I'd like to get a spare battery for the controller since we tend to use it for extended periods. I have found part number 190582-0000 (on the battery) and it appears that this is similar to the battery for the Harmony 1000 but I can't find the cached page anymore. It looks like the part number for that battery has changed to 993-000145. The battery for the other remotes (890 and down) uses 190304-0000 which is physically about 2mm to short and 2mm too narrow. The voltage is the same and it fits (with some shimming) but I haven't been able to get this battery to charge in the controller yet.

Have any of you successfully used the Harmony 1000 battery and had it charge properly in the SBC?

The controller's battery is actually the same as the one used for the Harmony 1000.
Confirmed by Dean in this thread (post #23):

Just got my Harmony 1000 battery and it fits great and is working. 190582-0000 is on the battery so it even matches the original.

Where are these batteries available from? A Google search did not turn up anything.

Thanks,
Bob

You can order the Harmony 1000 battery from Logitech. I tried to find suitable replacements on the web, but after looking for a few days I gave up and spent the $30 on the one from the source. Shipping was 2 days.

Here's the direct link:

The part number that they are shipping now is 993-000145 but it's the same as 190582-0000.

I've had one of these batteries on order for well over three weeks. Three days ago I got notification that it is in stock (at last) and being shipped. I am in the UK and found the only way to get hold of one was to have a friend in the US order it and ship it over.

Hopefully they are now on sale in Europe too, but I have not seen any evidence of this.

I find spot the difference games entertaining:

They got the colour vs color right, but forgot to change aluminum. Oh, and the 'buy parts' link is clearly an Americanism too...
