In the past I described the skipping problem as a two or three second "loop"
in the playback of the music. That's how my wife described it. Well, I
finally heard it myself and the music is definitely not looping.

What happens is the music cuts out.. it plays for a quarter second, stops
for maybe half a second, then plays for a quarter second, etc. It does this
for a while and then sometimes resumes normal playback.

I'm using a SLIMP3 with 2.2 firmware and SlimServer 5.1. At first I thought
these problems were related to using a WiFi bridge, but I have since wired
my house and now I use a cat5 connection. It's not the 10/100 switch
because I recently upgraded and it has the same problem.

This problem is difficult to reproduce...

Is something wrong with my SLIMP3 hardware or is there something else I
should check?

Rod,

Can you update to the latest pre-release version here:

http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest

And let us know if the problem goes away?

Thanks,

dean
