Hi,

For the ipod their is an RF remote that is somewhat water resistant. How about making a remote like the contoller that would be water proof, float, handle the tempitures of a hot tub and hot sun, and handle the abuse of a chronic wine and beer drinker?

Obviously the best place to listen to music during the winter months is in the desert sun hanging out at a pool. I don't think my controller will make it thru the winter next year. Anway to produce by next winter :)?

Thanks

I was thinking the same thing. This summer i will use the controller outdoors constantly, but how am i going to make it survive? I am going to build some sort of contraption that i can set it in when i'm not changing the song, station, or volume. whatever i make will be a multi purpose gadget. Some sort of 'hinged' lid to keep the controller dry, and also a spot to set my beer or drink in, keeping it out of the sun. I use 'coolies', but i still like to set my drink in the shade, while i sit in the sun. I will put some pics up after i make it.

I thought about suggesting the same thing, but I don't think it would be easy to use the wheel through the bag. Alas, somewhere the capacitative wheel of the ipod works better.
