View Full Version : Upgrade to Sqzctr 7, now playlists arent saved

I upgraded to Sqzctr 7 and ever since then - my playlists are not saved on my Sqzbxs nor Softsqz. I close softsqz or turn off Sqzbx and the current playlist is gone. There is nothing listed when I hit Now Playing.

I think this only happens after I log off my PC but leave it running. Yes, I have Sqzctr running as a service so its still running even though I've logged off.
Anyone have any ideas why?

thanks in advance.

Looks like you don't have a complete installation.

Here, these should help:

OK. I'm probably setting myself up again for some of the same responses as above? But I still have this issue and was hoping someone can shed some light on how to have my Random Mix playlists stay active after I turn off the squeezebox/softsqueeze.

Be nice! :)

How about looking at what you have set in Settings - Players - Audio - Power On Resume ?

"Power On Resume
You can choose how your player should resume the current playlist when you press the POWER button to turn the player off and then again to turn it on again later. This setting applies to this player and other players while they are synchonized to this player."

I have it set to: Stop at power off/Remain stopped at power off

But this is how I had it set before the upgrade. This setting pertains to whether it should resume playback of the current playlist when powered back on. My issue is that when I power off, the current playlist dissappears.

The problem I think may be specific to when I log off the PC. I "think" that is the only time that the current playlist dissappears. When I log back on, power on the sqzbox/softsqz, the previous current playlist is gone.

Just for info, I AM running sqzctr as a service. So my logging off shouldnt effect anything as sqzctr is still running.

Well, I don't understand why logging off makes a difference either. But what happens if you change the setting to pause/pause?

I've been wrestling with this off and on for a few days. It took me a while to realize it only affects the playlists generated by the Random Mix plugin. Vote for the bug (http://bugs.slimdevices.com/votes.cgi?action=show_user&bug_id=7581#vote_7581) and maybe it will get some attention.

Oh! Yes, I only create my playlists via Random Mix. That explains it!
