View Full Version : Sampling rate on Squeezebox digital outputs

Hi all,

It is my first post here.

I have connected the digital output of my squeezebox (firmware 7) to an Apogee Big Ben (studio clock system) and the Big Ben shows that the signal coming from the Squeezebox is at 44.19 khz instead of the normal 44.10 khz (which is indeed the Big Ben reading when connected to my CD transport). I know another user with the same setup and he got exactly the same result. This difference can surely cause locking issue with some receivers (I indeed know someone having such problem). Is there a way to fix that via firmware upgrade?

Thanks in advance.
Michel

What happens when you play a file with a different sample rate?

I have two sample files here. Both should sound the same. One is 44.1
and the other is 48.0
