    Duet Setup....

    Would this work?

If I hookup the Duet receiver to my receiver in the basement can I use the Duet controller upstairs to access squeeze centre? In other words. Can the remote access the receiver through walls?

You may think what good is that? Well I have zone 2 on my receiver using speakers upstairs. If I could preset a volume for zone 2 on the receiver and take the Duet remote upstairs to control what I’m listening to (and volume) I’d be a happy camper!

    Cheers,
    JR

As long as the wall isn't solid lead... yes absolutely. They talk via WiFi.

The Controller communicates over wifi directly to the server - it doesn't communicate with the Receiver at all (except during initial setup). So yes, walls are fine
