Bad news: I previously reported issues with drops outs and garbled
playback using SlimServer 5.1 on Windows XP Pro with a Squeezebox. As
the FAQ recommends, I applied the upgrade to the Intel networking card
and set "offload TCP segmentation" to "disabled" as recommended. It has
reduced the amount of dropouts and garbles, but they still occur. I can
"fix" it by telling the SlimServer to skip to the next song, but
eventually the dropouts return.

Also, another interesting issue that is unclear if related to SlimServer
or the Squeezebox: this morning a song was playing and the audio
stopped cold. The Squeezebox display indicated the time meter was still
counting down, so it appeared the Squeezebox thought is was playing, but
there was zero audio. Skipping to the next song did nothing. I turned
off the Squeezebox, restarted, and all was cool.

Eric,

Contact support (AT) slimdevices (DOT) com. It may be that you have a hardware
failure.
