View Full Version : Arg. Hard Drive disaster wreaking havoc (Internet radio, favorites, etc)

I had all my music stored on an external hard drive, which just failed... I had it backed up, so I will hopefully be able to restore my music library, but this failure seems to be wreaking havoc on other parts of Squeeze Center.

I had Squeeze Center installed on my C Drive, which is still working fine. So why can't I connect to RadioIO or Live365 anymore? Trying to select RadioIO or Live365 simply results in a "Connect timed out" message. They had been working fine up 'til now.

And why are my carefully-edited favorites now listed as "empty"?

In SlimServer, my favorites and other preferences used to be stored in a .pref file. Does Squeeze Center store these settings in a file somewhere?

If I reinstall Squeeze Center, will all my favorites etc. be gone for good?

Any help during this trying time would be greatly appreciated.

Well I installed the latest nightly of SqueezeCenter, and I've got Internet radio back, but my Favorites are still empty.

Any way I can recover these?

BTW, this is on Windows XP. Thanks again for any help.

Looks like Favorites are stored in the Playlists Folder. So if that folder was also on the drive that died, it should be restored when you restore from your backup.
