I can almost see exactly where things go from this angle, not like looking from over the top of the tv, it just looks like a mess ;}

Next time you need to connect, disconnect or reconnect something you will be able to refer to this thread and avoid straining your neck looking over the top of your TV.

iSix....I suspect such a set up would degrade the Wife Approval Factor in my situation! ;-)

My missus likes it as long as she can't see the cables... great excuse for buying a 48" tv:
"oh, it'll hide the cables behind the bench darling"
"oh good, get one for the bedroom and kitchen too then"

:D

The ones behind the TV are the tidiest - but that's only because the trolley is mobile.

All the cables are in some way connected to the hi-fi ....

What's with the aluminum foil wrapped around some of the cables? Is that some sort of Audiophile Tweek?

Just a simple experiment to see if the mains cables benefited from some shielding :)

I have had a rats nest for many mamy years now.
Xbox, Amp, media centre, squeeze box, router, NAS, satallite ...... :-(

I just refurbed the living room and ran a ton of cable under the floor into the cloakroom room cupboard where put everything bar the TV and a media centre so the only thing I have behind the TV cab is a couple HDMI, TOS and a couple speaker pAIRS and a couple of cat 5! .....which is wife loving. Cable tidy heaven versus the previous version.

Best discovery: Click releasable tie-wraps from Maplin. :-)

And what are the results?

And what are the results?

I found, for me, it made an audible improvement, I then earthed the shield and it improved things more, so, mains cables are on my tweeking list, to sort :)

Mine is no better - I guess the wireless home is just as likely as the paperless office.....lol

Careful guys/gals! I had a rats nest like that...and it cost me. $9K exactly. My wife absolutely HATED seeing the cables, large screen TV etc so we ended up building custom cherry cabinets built into the wall with a side door to hide the cable abortion. Worked out prety well inthe long run...gave me a spot to hide Xmas gifts :)
