Don't know if this is related to any of the other problems that have been
reported with the latest release... -- but the Server is only staying up for
me when I start it _after_ logging in on my Mac.

If I have it start before logging in, then, sooner or later, it seems to
fail to find my iTunes library.

Bizarre, eh...?

I got up this morning (...sounds like the beginning of the Squeezebox Blues
to me ;-), and the Squeezebox said, again, that the library was utterly
empty. A quick check through the web interface revealed the same. Restarted
the Slim server, everything returned to normal.

Went out shopping, etc.. Four or five hours later, same symptoms.

Energy Saver settings are as before -- i.e. the display sleeps, but not the
Mac or the hard disks; and the only thing that has changed (apart from the
MIDI set-up (which I've now, temporarily, disabled...)) is the server
upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1, and the firmware, from 5 to 7.

Any thoughts? I'm extremely good at missing the obvious -- so feel free to
jump in with suggestions. In the meantime, I'll even disable the screen
sleeping (just letting the screensaver run...) -- and see if that makes any
difference.

After rebooting my Mac (after installing some new MIDI keyboard drivers...),
I went downstairs, last night, and discovered that the Squeezebox was
reporting 'empty' album, artist and song-lists. Ouch.

Hi Stephen,

Do you happen to have your music on an external hard drive? If so,
then under Panther, the system doesn't mount external drives until log
in.
