Thanks for the advice Roy.

Not running a private label version of IE but I think the string is coming
from the ISDN lan modem as it is the same wording (just completely different
layout) as gets put in a browser window if you try and connect to a website
whilst not dialed up.

Does the slimserver automatically try and connect to the net when started?
If so that would explain the message.

Bizarre, indeed. I just checked, and nowhere in the server code does
that string appear. Are you running some private-labeled version of IE
maybe?

Yes, I think it does (hey, meastros correct me if I'm wrong). The server
checks for new versions on the SlimDev-site.

That's correct. This is a setting that you can change, however. Look in server
settings, additional server settings, behavior. There is an item at the very
bottom, "Software Updates". Set it to "Dont check for software updates" and
click CHANGE.
