Hi everybody,

I got my Squeezebox a few days ago and I really love it!

I have just one question: When I swich on (plug in) the Squeezebox it
restarts itself during the intital conntetion process with my access
point. I get the "Connecting..." screen with the 20 second countdown
showing the SSID of my AP and after about 10 seconds into this countdown
the "C" of "Connecting..." disappears and the Squeezebox restarts itself to
the welcome-screen. Sometimes this repeats 3-5 times till the connection
is ok and after that everything works fine (DHCP, connection to server,
streaming). Is this somehow normal?
Maybe it is a problem with the 128-bit WEP of my access point (3com
AccessPoint 2000)? If I enter the setup-screen, just acceping the stored
values, it will always connect on first try.
Maybe its somehow a timeout problem during the initial authentication
process (wild guess!)

Otherwise its just great!

Greetings
Kai

That shouldn't happen. I'll have to see if we can get one of those
access points to test against...

The access point is about 1.5 years old and no longer produced by 3com. I
don't know if you'll be able to get one.

Maybe I've fixed it: I updated the AP firmware with the latest version
(which is from sept. 2002). Seems better now, although I don't know what
3com changed in the 'new' version.

Greetings
Kai
