Hi!

A great update (...and it's nice to see the buffer and other settings make
an appearance on the web interface)!

However, as always with such things, it probably makes us risk-averse
'non-nightlies' all review our current set-ups immediately, and therefore
find bugs faster than Rentokil....

Anyway -- nothing major:

1 Both the server and the player are reporting 5,453 songs -- whereas
iTunes says 2,627 (just less than half... :-) -- and I'm wondering if
the server is counting songs on albums and songs on playlists as two
separate entities...?

2 If I set "Digital output level is fixed (best analog quality)", I get no
volume at all (even after resetting the Squeezebox)! Setting the player
back to "Volume controls adjust digital outputs" is fine! I usually
leave the volume at 20 (which brings it into line with everything else I
have connected...), and adjust my amp instead -- so no biggy! (I'm using
the analog outputs, by the way... ;-)

If you want me to register these on the buglist, let me know -- I just
wondered if anyone else was experiencing either/both of the same symptoms?

I'm using iTunes 4.2 (with my music stored on an external FireWire HD) under
OS X 10.3.2, on an 800Mhz 15" iMac with 512Mb RAM. I've just upgraded the
server from 5.0.1 to 5.1, and the Squeezebox from firmware v.5 to v.7; and
am changing setting using the 'handheld' web interface.

Thanks for all your hard work...!

You are using the 3.5 mm jack output? If yes:

Did you try turning the volume all the way up on the squeezebox?
The levels are very low when you set this option.

Easy to test. Move all your playlists to somewhere else not seen by
the server and rescan.
