View Full Version : Missing MySQL Service

I've been having a few problems with SlimServer with the SlimTray not starting etc so I tried to reinstall SS. I uninstalled the existing version, rebooted the PC to be on the safe side and then reinstalled. I also deleted all of the files in the Slimserver program files directory.

I reinstalled and now SS will not start. I have no errors in the eventlog but I looked in the services listing and SlimServer is there but the slimserverMysql is not.

I've tried rebooting again to check it didnt need to restart but I still have the same problem :( I can only assume that the installer thought an instance was already installed or something?

I am on Windows XP SP2 and am using 6.5.4 of SS. Anyone got any ideas?

Sorry scrub that! I tried running slim.exe from the command line and it installed the service for me. I can only assume SYSTEM doesnt have the right privileges somewhere.
