View Full Version : Typo in 'Browse Artwork' feature

I just update to the latest nightly build (2/4/04) and notice a typo in the new
browse album cover feature. When I select "Browse Artwork" it shows:

Songs 1 to 16 of 799

when it should be showing:

Albums 1 to 16 of 799

I really like this feature, but was wondering if anyone else thinks it would be
more useful to sort the cover artwork by artist Name rather then alphabetically
by album name. Normally I would want to browse by artwork becuase I don't
remember that album name, but probably do know the artist. Maybe this could be
a setting for 'Browse by Artwork' in the server settings area if some people
like the current sort order better.

Good Eye. Its not so much a typo; the default skin assumes Songs for any list
paged numericly. Check browse by albums and you will see that this line doesn't
appear. It should probably be done like browse by albums, and not show that
line when its not applicable. Stay Tuned.

I agree. But getting album artwork and then sorting by artist is not something
the server is capable of without creating a process that is even more resource
intensive than the current artwork routine is. At least, not with the current
infoCache. Eventually, it should progress towards this goal.
