I would like a video of someone using the SBR one-handed.

I found that I couldn't when scrolling through music, you needed to use a finger rather than your thumb to turn the wheel quickly. Also the wheel could do with some bumps on it to aid grip. That might change with the accelerated scrolling, but it's still not up there with an iPod touch for finding music.

Maybe not, but it's still much better than the iPod classic/5.5.

Maybe one of us beta testers could upload a video, if Logitech did not mind?

I dropped them a line suggesting that a few days ago but didn't get a reply yet. I'd think a quick 2 minute video showing the menus, now playing, etc would answer a lot of the questions floating around - and show exactly why this isn't comparable to an iPhone/iPod/N800/whatever running a web skin.

Been searching for a proper video walkthrough of the Duet. So far, I've not found one... Please post a link here if you know of one!

Since I couldn't find a video that showed a walkthrough of the Duet, I made my own at Macworld today. Will be posted here momentarily: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jonbauer/2201055378/

Nice work.

I wasn't sure about my opinion of the Controller from the various specs and photos I had seen, but now I REALLY want one.

Yes - looks to be very responsive and quick.

The video makes a world of difference for anyone interested in this product. I don't think Slim/Logitech are doing themselves any favors with the coverage on this web site right now. The images in the gallery are small and don't show anywhere near enough of the functional aspects of the products.

Hopefully this will change once this stuff is released. Now with a more consumer-friendly approach to the hardware, the web site needs to follow suit.

I think an easier way to turn on shuffle is also in order (watch the end of the video if you haven't already :) )

We're already planing the production of at least one video of our own.

Also an ALL new website is coming. We will begin work on it in earnest, just as soon as they return our web engineer to the marketing group. Engineering stole him to work on SqueezeNetwork for the 7.0 launch. :P

Great video. I watched the Engadget and CNET reviews, and they're superficial as heck, not telling me anything I couldn't tell from pictures and articles, but that actually SHOWS stuff.

Also, that controller looks pretty slick. I've long said that the Squeezebox's UI is head and shoulders above that of other comparable devices, and it's nice to see that their UI skills translate into a richer environment.

Very nice work, jonbauer!

It took me a couple of moments to figure out that the Flickr page had
a link to this video on YouTube. Here it is directly:

You have mentioned this before. As a fellow software developer, if I got the choice between coding for SqueezeNetwork or a relatively static marketing website, guess which one I would choose :).

Good Luck getting him back :).

The YouTube video is really nice. If I had some spare money I'd probably get a Controller. That said, I don't like how you guys handled the shuffle function. It takes too many clicks to get to it. There's got to be a better way. The new iPods handle it fairly well, IMO.
