Off topic, but is anybody doing this with a product other than Anapod Explorer? I like the product, but I can't get artwork to transfer, and they haven't been very good about answering any of my support requests.

Using Anapod you can point to the same file structure that Slim server points to, right-click an album folder, send to iPod, and it converts Flac to whatever bit rate mp3 you want and uploads to the iPod.

Anybody using anything else? I know this can be scripted, but I'm looking for a way of doing it in a fairly automated fashion.

Thanks!

Running a script nightly is automated to me.

http://mp3fs.sourceforge.net/

From the above web page: "MP3FS is a read-only FUSE filesystem which transcodes audio formats (currently FLAC) to MP3 on the fly when opened and read. This was written to enable me to use my FLAC collection with software and/or hardware which only understands MP3. e.g. gmediaserver to a netgear MP101 mp3 player"

I use foobar 2000. It has an ipod plug in which seems to work perfectly in converting to mp3 on the fly and works for me both with the ipod and the ipod nano.

Cool. Didn't know that about Foobar. I'll check it out. Thanks.
