I just saw the new checkins for clearing the artwork cache during a scan. I always thought this might be a good idea when doing a clear/rescan.

But what about non-clearing new/changed scans? In the past, the library was always usable, including cover art, and new/changed scans ran transparently in the background while you browsed and listened to music. Track and album record IDs shouldn't change during this type of scan. You may lose some record IDs, but new records won't reuse old IDs, so there should be no conflicts.

Thanks, you're right, my patch needs to be moved yet again to only run
at the start of a --wipe scan.
