I use a great program for managing 34,000+ mp3 files. Music Library
(http://www.wensoftware.com/). This program and many others provide a
drop source if you drag from the application. File Manager (Windows guy
here.) and WinAmp do as well. What I would like to do is to be able to
keep using my interface of choice at the PC. If Slim Server implemented
a drop target, that would be really wonderful! Does this exist or do I
need to learn perl?

Thanks

I think you'd need to implement this as a standalone program that
translated the dropped file into some command to the server, and you'll
probably need to use MFC or similar. A quick web search doesn't turn up
any Perl modules to implement file drop (Windows or Linux). What do you
want the drop target to do? Queue up the dropped song?
