Completely forgotten how to start midway throuh a bbc rtsp stream.

I thought to start 2 hours into the following stream: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio5/uan_thu.ra?

You would tune into something like:
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio5/uan_wed.ra?start=02:00

Anybody know the url ?

TIA

On SB Press >> and you will get a display of
minutes to be skipped forward.

On WebUI - select the time from the top line on LHS display.

Thanks bpa.

I was aware of these methods but wanted to put the start
point into playlists.

Anyway i found it by using process explorer on xp (cant wait to get my linux server backup and running)

It was an hh:mm:ss start point not hh:mm like i was trying.

So this works for ten minutes in:

rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio5/uan_mon.ra?start=00:10:00

Thanks again

The definition for the start tag can be found here
http://service.real.com/help/library/guides/realone/IntroToStreaming/htmfiles/ramfile.htm#27429

Key point is seconds have to be present - so 3:30 is not 3 hrs 30 mins but 3mins 30 secs. so the syntax is

start=ss
start=mm:ss
start=hh:mm:ss

You can also have tenths of secs after decimal point.

AlienBBC will parse the start field so if it is incorrect it may be removed.
