I'm sure this has been asked before but can't seem to find anything on it.
my entire music collection (around 1200 albums) is mp3, I have an ipod I use at work so will be keeping this collection. However I want to start using FLAC for my home setup, and so plan on starting to rip my cd's, to be honest I wont ever get around to doing everything, so some stuff I will have once as mp3 and some stuff I will have twice, once as mp3 and once as FLAC, is it possible to get the SB to ignore the mp3 stuff if I have a FLAC copy of it?

or is it just a case of as I copy it to FLAC move the mp3 to a folder that the SB wont look in but itunes will?

That's how I solved this problem (although I was moving from OGG to FLAC).

That's pretty much your only option. SlimServer can't be told to automatically ignore the mp3 version in favor of the flac version. If it sees both, then you'll end up with two versions in the library.

And if you use iTunes like this, then make sure you disable SlimServer's iTunes integration. Otherwise you'll get both versions in your SlimServer library.
