I bought a new Transporter 2 months ago. It seems to have developed some problems. For example, after I choose a song from my HD, if I change the volume control before it plays the song, my Transporter will freeze. It also has other problems like stopping without any reasons.

The transporter runs firmware 31 and the slim server is 6.5.4 on Windows Vista.

Can someone tell me how I can reload the Transporter firmware? Thanks in advance.

To reload the firmware, press and hold brightness.

Other alternatives:

- to resolve audio playback problems, unplug power, press and hold "1", replug power (Xilinx reset)

- to reset back to factory default, unplug power, press and hold "+/ADD", replug power, but you'll have to re-enter all networking settings

Good!

Just to help out others, which procedure solved the problem for you? Reloading the firmware, resetting Xilinx or factory reset?

Hello,
just a question... I am perfectly satisfied with ss 6.5.4 and since it needs a bit of work to port sc7.0 to the Thecus N5200 I wonder how and if I can use the latest firmware for Tp with ss 6.5.4 since it is supposed to solve some problems.

Firmware versions are tied to server versions, because the network
interface changes frequently. While there are hacks for installing
mismatched firmware in a server, it's dangerous and not recommended.
